How does SlipAlert meter technology work?
SlipAlert can measure the slip risks of a floor during dry, wet or contaminated conditions. Our SlipAlert technology has two parts, the device and an aluminium ramp. The device is put on top of the ramp and then released, the technology measures how long it took for the SlipAlert to stop from the conditions of your floor. The SlipAlert technology gives a reading that tells our experts how slippery the floor is. If the floor is very slippery then usually the device travels 1 metre or more, whereas for most floors it will travel to 0.5 metres.
What happens if the SlipAlert shows my floor is very slippery?
If the SlipAlert meter technology shows your floor is in the higher end of slip risks, we recommend that an anti-slip floor seal will quickly eradicate your problem.
