Tommy Hilfiger wanted to remodel their store in Knightsbridge in order to more accurately reflect their luxury brand. With the help of Garenne Shopfitting to design the aesthetics, Floortrak was approached to provide a high-quality floor that had to be both hard wearing, to withstand heavy footfall, and attractive to match the shop’s high-end design.
As the original floor surface at the Tommy Hilfiger shop was tamped concrete, the experienced Floortrak team recommended replacing it with Flowcrete Topping, a fast-drying resin flooring solution that comes in a range of colours. We chose this particular solution because it provides a beautifully smooth and attractive high gloss finish that’s perfect for a luxury clothing brand’s store. It also boasts excellent scratch resistance, which means it needs minimal maintenance to keep looking great and is fast drying to help minimise down time.
To achieve the high-quality results customers expect from their shopping experience, we first prepped the floor with handheld grinders and applied two coats of primer. Then we applied a Cemflow base at 16mm to reach the correct height ready to install the finishing touch, the self-smoothing Flowcrete Topping. We covered a total area of 51m2.
The client was delighted with their fantastic new flooring and were particularly impressed with the smoothness of the floor and our ability to ensure an efficient installation without compromising on the quality of the finished product.
